Panthers Beyond PHS: Adrienne Grunspan

For Adrienne Grunspan, the next chapter is all about pursuing the passion she's spent years developing. 

This fall, Adrienne will begin a gap year at CLI Dance Conservatory before attending The Ohio State University, where she plans to study dance and possibly vocal performance, with an interest in business as well. 

When asked what she's looking forward to most, her answer was simple: "To be doing the thing I love most and making a career out of it!"  

During her time at Pleasantville High School, Adrienne immersed herself in the performing arts through chorus, Camerata, music theory, and the PHS musical. Outside of school, she dedicated herself to intensive dance and voice training, continuing to grow as a performer. Among her many experiences, chorus left the greatest impression. 

"Yes, chorus definitely helped shape me into who I am as a student as it taught me the importance of community and solidified my love for singing."  

Adrienne also credits French teacher Deborah Hurdis with making a lasting impact, describing her as someone who always supported her both in and outside the classroom. She says Pleasantville High School prepared her for what comes next by challenging her academically, supporting her needs, and teaching her "good morals for the future."  

As she looks ahead, Adrienne will carry with her an important reminder: 

"I will take away that everybody has a place in the world to do their own thing and be uniquely them. Not one person is 'not good enough' to achieve success." 

Her advice for younger Panthers? 

"I would give the advice to appreciate every moment in Pleasantville because it flies by so fast."
