I am writing to provide you with important information as August approaches and we prepare to release student schedules via eSchoolData on August 7, 2026. PHS Student Schedules 2026 - 2027

The PHS School Counseling Department has been working to finalize schedules during the summer months. Please review the important information below and contact the school directly with questions or if we can help with anything.

School Counseling Letter 2026 - A detailed letter from the PHS School Counseling Department will go out to students/families on Monday, August 3, 2026. This letter will include information about counselor availability for meetings, parameters for schedule changes and available course offerings.

Student Schedules - Student schedules for the 2026 - 2027 school year will be posted to the eSchoolData portal on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

Save the Dates! College Essay Workshops in August 2026, featuring sessions on brainstorming, personal essays, supplemental essays, and the activities section.

PHS Class of 2027 - College Essay Writing Workshops (Action Required)

Pleasantville High School is excited to continue our partnership with Wordcraft to provide writing workshops for members of the Class of 2027 during the summer months. Follow the link below to sign up and contact the school directly with questions.

Additional essay help will be available during English classes and 1-on-1 sessions during the school year.

PHS First Day of Classes (9/1) - Special Schedule & 9th Grade Orientation

Pleasantville High School is excited to welcome students back to the building for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Please review the information below about the first day of classes (9/1). We will be running a special schedule for all students.

Back to School Important Info

Special Schedule - It will be an "A Day" and classes will begin at 10:10 AM on 9/1. All students will follow a 2-hour delay schedule for classes on the first day of school.

9th Grade & New Student Orientation - There will be a special orientation program for 9th grade and new students on 9/1 at 8:00 AM. Students should report to the front circle for the orientation program.

Welcome Back BBQ - There will be a special welcome back BBQ for students during the lunch periods (5-7) on the first day of school.

PHS Summer Hours

Pleasantville High School will be operating under summer hours starting June 29. Please review that information below and plan accordingly if you intend to visit the building.

Monday:Thursday 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

PHS Assistant Principal - Taryn Delaney BOE Appointed

A diverse-cross section of community stakeholders participated in a selection interview process to identify a candidate for the assistant principal position at Pleasantville High School. That candidate was BOE approved earlier this week and we are happy to welcome Taryn Delaney to PHS. Follow this link to learn more about Ms. Delaney who will start in Pleasantville on July 1, 2026.
